Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. The following terms and conditions set out the rights and obligations of the user and , to use of the ONE Bank eAccount App Services facilities. All the terms and conditions enumerated in this agreement are legally binding, so please read them carefully. You hereby acknowledge that we have provided all the necessary explanations of risks that may happen during the use of our ONE Bank eAccount App services and by signing of this document, you fully understand and are responsible for the occurrence of events involving such risks if any. DEFINITIONS "Bank" or “OBPLC”, "ONE Bank PLC", "we", "us", or "our" refers to ONE Bank, and "you" or "your" or “user” refers to each depositor, borrower, authorized signer, or authorized user for an account with ONE Bank PLC.

  • THE ACCOUNTS TO USE THE SERVICES
  • The user who is maintaining an account with ONE Bank PLC is eligible to apply for this service, and the user shall apply for use of the service in the ONE Bank eAccount App. ONE Bank shall be entitled at its sole discretion to accept or reject such applications as may be submitted by the users.
  • In order to use the Service, by applying for ONE Bank eAccount App for the first time, the User must read the Terms & Conditions carefully, and must acknowledge and accepts.
  • You further agree that the Service will be available for all eligible ONE bank customers who intend to open Account, the app will provide a unique customer ID for each user.
  • USERS’ LOG-IN ACCESS, PASSWORD & SECURITY PROCEDURES
  • When you are registered for ONE Bank eAccount App, an App User ID will be automatically generated in the App system to access the system. The App system will provide an automatically generated Login Password / OTP through SMS to log in.
  • User is fully responsible for providing correct information for opening the account and immediately changing account information like cell phone number and email number as and when applicable, as it may cause unauthorized access to your accounts and Bank will not be held liable for any such incidents. You are highly recommended/ requested immediately notify the Bank if your cell phone & email account is lost or stolen.
  • Always ensure that you must log out of your Mobile App session once you have completed your banking business. Don’t leave your mobile unattended while you are logged into the ONE Bank eAccount App.
  • In connection with any account which you intend to open jointly, your joint account holders may open the account using the Service on the terms set out in this agreement and as per acknowledgment.
  • Customer must agree and also confirm that he/she will not use ONE Bank eAccount App service for money laundering or violate any laws related to money laundering. ONE Bank reserves the right to demand an explanation from the User regarding any matter pertaining to the money laundering law of the country.
  • Users are requested to check his/her account (s) with ONE Bank after receiving notification of opening the account by the system and immediately after getting the confirmation must deposit a minimum amount of initial deposit to keep the account operational. If any of the user accounts is not accessible thru ONE App, please inform ONE Bank immediately.
  • If the User gives or shares his/her User ID, Account Password, or OTP to anyone or fails to safeguard its secrecy, he/she does so at his/her own risk because anyone with a User ID and Password will have access to his/her accounts after registration of his / her account in ONE App.
  • If the Bank receives any information verbally or in writing from anyone including the user regarding the loss of the user ID and password, Bank may immediately suspend the services of the account in good faith for the safety and security of the user.
  • User hereby acknowledges and understands the inherent risk of using App and availing of the ONE Bank eAccount App Services and accordingly shall take all necessary precautions at his/her end to safeguard from such risks. Bank shall not be held liable in any form whatsoever if the User suffers any loss or damages due to such inherent risk of ONE Bank eAccount App Services unless such loss or damage is caused due to willful negligence of the Bank.
  • PERMISSIONS
  • For enhanced customer experience, ONE Bank eAccount App requires access to the below information of the customer’s device:
  • Background Location Permission: Since ONE Bank eAccount App is a financial service, ensuring the security of customers’ information is the highest priority. Hence, location permission allows us to identify and potentially block suspicious transactions, which might not have occurred without the consent/knowledge of the customer. Also, this will help customers to find different service points easily, for which it is required to know the current location of the customer.
  • Phone Call Permission: Customers can call our Contact Center by dialing the customer care number to avail of various banking services. Giving facility customers to contact our Contact Center by dialing the customer care number to enable us to give our customers the convenience to avail services without visiting any branch physically.
  • Read External Storage: To upload image of customer, nominee and other image documents user need to accept this permission.
  • SMS: To read OTP and fill it up automatically in the OTP field user have option to accept this permission or denied it.
  • Camera Access: To check liveliness of the customer and capture image of documents user must accept this permission.
  • ONE Bank eAccount App is not storing any of the above information of customers. The information is being used only for the specific purpose mentioned here.
  • BANK’S LIABILITY FOR FAILURE TO MAKE OR STOP CERTAIN ELECTRONIC ACCOUNT OPENING
  • If we do not complete an electronic Account Opening Request within a reasonable amount of time, we will not be liable for any direct or indirect losses or damages, as mentioned in the following instances:
  • If you have not completely and properly followed the terms of this Agreement or instructions provided regarding how to make an account opening request appropriately or the data or instruction transmitted via ONE Bank eAccount App are inaccurate or incomplete.
  • If any part of the ONE Bank eAccount App system was not working properly and you knew about the breakdown when you started your electronic fund transfer.
  • If circumstances are beyond our control that prevents the electronic account opening, despite reasonable precautions that we have taken.
  • If the funds that you have deposited in the account opened electronically are subject to a legal proceeding.
  • If your cell phone & email account has been reported lost or stolen or if we have any other reasons to believe that an electronic account opening may be erroneous or unauthorized.
  • If you have exceeded the limitations on the number of attempts allowed to open accounts when you did not or could not complete the total process during a particular period.
  • If the Deposit Account has inappropriate contents or information or any pending documents.
  • YOUR LIABILITY FOR ERRONEOUS INFORMATION
  • The user shall take all necessary precautions to prevent the unauthorized and illegal use of the ONE Bank eAccount App by ONE Bank PLC. You have the obligation to immediately notify the Bank if your cell phone & email account credentials have been lost or stolen, or if someone has access to such information that may be used to open an account through ONE Bank eAccount App without your permission (or is contemplating to do so). We may require that the notice is in writing. You could lose all the money in your Deposit Account, some or all of the money in any linked account, or up to your maximum overdraft line of credit, if you fail or refuse to immediately advise the Bank of the possible unauthorized use of your cell phone & email account credentials.
  • AMENDMENT OF THIS AGREEMENT
  • We reserve the right to amend this agreement from time to time as necessary to include, but not limited to, changes in fees, liability, services, etc. Amendments to this agreement will be delivered to you and posted in our offices at least 30 days prior to effect unless it is necessary to make immediate changes for security purposes, to comply with the law, changes made by our service provider, or as otherwise expressly provided in this Agreement.
  • TERMINATION OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE
  • You agree that we may cancel or restrict your use of the ONE Bank account App or any App service at any time as is reasonable under the circumstances.
  • THE LAW GOVERNING THIS AGREEMENT
  • These Terms and/or the operations in your Accounts shall be governed as well as guided in accordance with the prevalent laws of Bangladesh. You hereby agree that any legal action or any legal proceedings arising out of the Terms for ONE Bank eAccount App shall be brought before the courts or tribunals in Bangladesh. The bank may, however, in its absolute discretion, commence any legal action or proceedings arising out of the Terms for ONE Bank eAccount App in any other court, tribunal, or other appropriate forum and you hereby consented to that jurisdiction. Any provision of the Terms for ONE Bank eAccount App which is prohibited or unenforceable by such order of the Court or even in any direction of the superior court within such jurisdiction shall, as to such jurisdiction, be ineffective to the extent of prohibition or unenforceability but shall not invalidate the remaining provisions of the Terms or affect such provisions of the Agreement in any other jurisdiction.
